We import fish once they reach maturity, at about 3–4 months old. After quarantine and shipping, they are around 4–5 months old when they reach you.

Fish Questions
Live fish benefit from a varied diet, so we keep over 20 different foods — live, frozen, dried and pellet. For most customers we recommend a quality pellet plus frozen bloodworms.
Yes. We keep snails and duckweed in our tanks because both help maintain a healthy aquarium.
We don't use chemicals to alter our water. We use tap water treated with Seachem Prime and aquarium salt. For new tanks we also add Seachem Stability and StressGuard to help fish acclimate.
With baby fish we can sometimes guess the sex from early signs, but the method isn't reliable. Leave a note with your order and we will try, though we can't guarantee it.
Every fish behaves a little differently, and behavior also changes with the tank and the species it lives alongside. So we would rather not guess — discovering an individual fish's personality is part of the fun of fishkeeping.
Fish often lose color during shipping because of stress, and some fish genuinely change color over time — especially bettas carrying the marble gene. If you think you received a different fish from the one pictured, which is always possible, send us a clear photo and we will arrange a refund.
