We guarantee live arrival on all shipped fish. If you receive a fish that is dead on arrival, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us within 2 hours of delivery time (based on the tracking timestamp).
  2. Provide a clear photo or video of the fish inside the unopened original shipping bag.
  3. We will issue store credit or a replacement fish (if available).
  4. Shipping fees, upgrade services, and heat/ice packs are non-refundable.
  5. DOA claims are not valid if:

  • The package was left outside, refused, or not picked up

  • The bag was opened before proof was sent

  • The wrong address was provided

We ship responsibly, but once in transit, we cannot control carrier delays, weather, or mishandling. However, we will do our best to make it right.

Live animals usually ship early in the week to reduce weekend transit delays.

Orders may be held when destination weather or carrier timing creates avoidable risk.

Local pickup is available when the order and pickup window are confirmed.

DOA claim requirements

To qualify for Live Arrival Guarantee review:

  1. Inspect livestock immediately upon delivery.
  2. Photograph livestock inside the original unopened bag.
  3. Photograph the delivered packaging clearly.
  4. Submit the claim by email on the delivery day.

Claims without sealed-bag photos or same-day email submission may be rejected.

When Live Arrival Guarantee does not apply

  1. Carrier delays
  • Carrier delays can affect livestock health and are reviewed separately.
  • Shipping insurance claims depend on carrier rules and approval.
  • Contact us before shipment if unsafe weather requires a schedule change.
  1. Missed first delivery attempt
  • Monitor tracking on delivery day.
  • A missed first delivery attempt can void Live Arrival Guarantee coverage.
  1. Outdoor exposure in extreme weather

Coverage may be void if a package is left outdoors for more than 2 hours when:

  • Temperatures are below 45°F.
  • Temperatures are above 95°F.

Bring packages indoors promptly to reduce temperature stress.

Acclimation guide

  1. Bring the package indoors and inspect livestock before opening the bag.
  2. Float the sealed bag to temperature match.
  3. Acclimate gradually using clean aquarium water.
  4. Introduce livestock gently and keep lights low while they settle.
