At Justfishything, we prioritize the health and safety of our live fish during transport. Please review the full shipping policy below before placing an order.
⏱️ Order Processing Time

We require a minimum of 24 hours to process each order.

Before shipping, fish are placed in a short quarantine with no feeding to reduce waste during transit.

Orders are prepared carefully and cannot be rushed.
🚚 Shipping Methods
🐌 USPS Priority – $18.99 Flat Rate
- Safe to use when destination weather is in range 40F to 85F

Transit time: 2–5 business days

Ships Monday or Tuesday only

Live Arrival Guarantee applies only within the first 3 days from ship date

Most packages arrive Wednesday or Thursday
⚡ Fedex Overnight Shipping – $45 Flat Rate

Transit time: Next-Day Delivery

Recommend Usage: when area is under 35F or above 90F

If you need your order shipped on a certain date:

We will try our best to accommodate your request, depending on weather and fish condition.
📬 Delivery Expectations & Customer Responsibilities

Most orders arrive Wednesday or Thursday.

Please monitor your tracking number and delivery notifications (email or text).

Have your aquarium cycled, heated, and ready before your fish arrives.

Fish may appear pale after shipping due to stress — this is normal.
They typically recover color within 24 hours in a proper environment.
❄️ Weather & Temperature Guidelines

We will hold shipments if weather is unsafe (too hot or too cold).

This is the only exception to our “no holding fish” policy.
-
Heat packs last ~72 hours; please pick up delayed packages promptly.
❌ Cancellation Policy
Preparing live fish for shipping requires significant time and labor. To compensate for this, we enforce the following cancellation terms:

Cancel within 12 hours:
A 3% payment processing fee will be deducted. -
Cancel after 12 hours (livestock orders):
A 30% restocking fee applies.
Please consider your order carefully before placing it.
🛑 We Do Not Hold Fish (Except for Weather Delays)
Fish cannot be held for future shipment dates unless weather conditions make shipping unsafe.
⏳ Carrier Delays
Unfortunately, carrier delays do happen.

Once we drop off your package, we no longer have control over USPS or UPS handling.

Please do not email us about carrier delays—we cannot speed up delivery.

If a delay occurs, we strongly recommend picking up your package at your local Post Office to minimize stress on the fish.
If temperatures are mild, our fish can often survive up to a week in transit due to proper packing.
📦 Package Intercept / Hold for Pickup / Address Change
Once we dropped packages, we cannot request:

Package intercepts

Hold-for-pickup requests
-
Address changes
-
Delivery instructions
Customers must make these changes directly with the carrier by:

Logging into the USPS/UPS website, or
-
Calling their local Post Office
