• What size tank do nano fish need?
  Most nano fish do well in tanks as small as 5–10 gallons, though a 20-gallon planted tank allows for a more natural schooling display. The smaller the species, the smaller the tank they can comfortably live in.
• Are nano fish good for beginners?
  Many nano fish like neon tetras and harlequin rasboras are excellent for beginners. They are peaceful, easy to feed, and thrive in a well-maintained planted tank. Some species like chili rasboras prefer more specific water parameters.
• Can nano fish live with other fish?
  Yes! Nano fish are peaceful and do well with other small, non-aggressive species. Great tankmates include small rasboras, tetras, pygmy corydoras, otocinclus, and dwarf shrimp. Avoid large or aggressive fish that may eat them.

  Nano fish have small mouths and need appropriately sized foods. They thrive on micro pellets, crushed flakes, and small live or frozen foods like baby brine shrimp, micro worms, and daphnia.
• What water parameters do nano fish prefer?
  Most nano fish prefer soft, slightly acidic water with a pH of 6.0–7.2 and temperatures between 72–80°F (22–27°C). Species like chili rasboras and ember tetras especially appreciate blackwater conditions with tannins.
• Are nano fish compatible with shrimp?
  Most nano fish are safe with adult dwarf shrimp like neocaridina and caridina. However, very small shrimp fry may be eaten. Heavily planted tanks with lots of moss provide hiding spots and improve shrimp survival rates.
• What plants work best in a nano fish tank?
  Java moss, Monte Carlo, dwarf hairgrass, anubias nana petite, and bucephalandra are all excellent choices. Dense planting mimics their natural habitat, reduces stress, and enhances the colors of nano fish.
