Mystery Snails
Product description
Mystery Snails — Colorful, Peaceful Tank Cleaners
Mystery Snails (Pomacea bridgesii) are large, peaceful freshwater snails available in stunning pink, purple, and yellow color morphs. Unlike most snails, they won't eat your live plants and they don't reproduce out of control in freshwater — making them an ideal choice for planted tanks and community setups. Their large size and gentle grazing make them mesmerizing to watch as they clean glass, decor, and substrate.
Care Guide
- Tank size: 5 gallons minimum per snail; they produce more waste than smaller species
- Water parameters: Temp 68–82°F, pH 7.0–8.0, GH 8–18 (hard water is essential for shell health)
- Diet: Omnivore — algae wafers, blanched vegetables (zucchini, spinach), sinking pellets, and leftover food. Calcium supplementation is critical for strong shells
- Tankmates: Peaceful with shrimp, snails, and community fish (tetras, rasboras, corydoras). Avoid loaches, pufferfish, cichlids, and assassin snails
Color Options
Available in Pink, Purple, and Yellow. Random pick — color may vary.
